West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is set to meet teachers who lost their jobs following a Supreme Court verdict on a job scam. The court had ordered the dismissal of 26,000 teachers due to serious fraud and bribery in the recruitment process. Mamata is considering re-inducting ‘innocent’ teachers, a move criticized by the BJP as going against the Supreme Court’s order. Simultaneously, the BJP is planning a protest march to the Chief Minister’s residence over the job scam issue.
