Malawi National Day – United States Department of State

On behalf of the United States of America, I congratulate the people of Malawi as you mark the 62nd anniversary of your independence on July 6.

The relationship between the United States and Malawi is built on mutual trust, cooperation, and the continued flourishing of our two nations. Building on the long-standing partnership between the United States and Malawi, we are eager to continue to work together on issues of shared interest, including health, economic growth, and security. Together, we can make both our nations more prosperous.
