My audition for the JioHotstar series ‘Kanneda’. This character is WILLIAM, a corrupt union/mob boss. The audition scene is me asking for a bribe. I didn’t get the role — but we keep trying! =D

Here’s the script for this audition –

INT. PORT UNION HEADQUARTER OFFICE – DAY

William’s assistant asks Bajwa to take a seat. A gentleman comes out of William’s office and the assistant nods at Bajwa to go inside.

Bajwa enters Union Leader William’s office. Bajwa enters the room which is full of accolades and pictures of the Ports and Union workers. William asks Bajwa to take a seat.

WILLIAM
Am impressed, you are a symbol of Canada’s future. The successful immigrant.

BAJWA
Thank you. I wanted to show you this –

Bajwa smiles, and takes a pamphlet out from his file. But William interrupts-

BAJWA
(CONT’D)
I wanted to share the pamphlets with the union members if you allow sir-

William interrupts Bajwa and puts the pamphlets aside.

WILLIAM
Elections are a tricky business, Bajwa. And we don’t believe in future promises. If you have something to offer in present, we will definitely like to help.

Bajwa closes the file and understands the motive.

BAJWA
How much are you expecting?

William writes a number on a post-it and sticks it on the desk for Bajwa to see.

Bajwa gets pensive.
