Home Depot employee ARRESTED and fired for fake return scam. BODYCAM

Florida- This guy was an associate at Home Depot and was caught running this little fake refund scam. He was keeping purchase receipts on cash and debit card transactions people made, then later on he would process a cash refund as if they were returning the items..and he was just pocketing the money.

They were tipped off when a one of their loyalty program customers noticed in their account that refunds were listed for items that they had not returned. They called the store and an investigation was started and they figured out what this guy was doing.

He mentions he did this due to some medical issues he had and needing money because he didn’t have insurance yet, no way of knowing if that is true or not.

The charges are:

1. LARC – RETAIL THEFT 750 MORE DOLS COORDINATE OTHERS Statute: 812.015 8a Felony Third Degree

2. LARC – PETIT THEFT 2ND DEGREE 1ST OFFENSE Statute: 812.014 3a Misdemeanor Second Degree

As of the time of posting this video the case is pending.
