Graft probe into four ex-aides linked to former PM still in early stages, says MACC

The investigation into a case involving four former officers linked to the former prime minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob, who were remanded on Friday under suspicion of corruption, is still in its preliminary stages.

The MACC said that the investigation is being carried out under Section 16(a) of the MACC Act 2009, and the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing, and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001 (Act 613).
