A new conflict has surfaced within the INDI alliance over the closure of the high-profile Commonwealth Games corruption case. Congress leader Jairam Ramesh, who was one of the accused, sharply criticized the Delhi court’s acceptance of the Enforcement Directorate’s closure report. The court ruled that no offence under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) could be established. Despite 13 years of investigation, no charges were filed against individuals named in the case, including Suresh Kalmadi, Lalit Bhanot, and others.
