The Madras High Court has stayed the Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) order attaching filmmaker S Shankar’s properties worth ₹10 crore in a money-laundering case linked to copyright infringement. The court questioned the ED’s move, citing the earlier dismissal of the copyright claim over Enthiran. The ED has been directed to file its counter by April 21. While this is a legal win for Shankar, the case is far from over.
