A prisão do ex-presidente Fernando Collor nesta sexta-feira (25), em Alagoas, foi determinada pelo ministro do Supremo Tribunal Federal Alexandre de Moraes.
Ele foi condenado a 8 anos e 10 meses de prisão por corrupção passiva e lavagem de dinheiro, em um processo derivado da Operação Lava Jato. Collor é acusado de receber 20 milhões de reais em propina para garantir contratos da UTC Engenharia com a BR Distribuidora, que ficou sob sua influência de 2010 a 2014.
