The ED has arrested former Haryana Congress MLA Dharam Singh Chhoker. The operation was code-named “Dhappa.” They received information that Dharam Singh was present at the Shangri-La, a five-star hotel in Delhi. The ED conducted a surprise raid there and caught him.
Dharam Singh was absconding in a ₹1,500 crore money laundering case. He is accused of taking crores of rupees from people in exchange for promises of homes in Gurugram. Later, neither did he provide the homes nor return the money.
