ED Raids MLC K Kavitha’s Hyderabad Residence in Money Laundering Case | India Today News

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Friday conducted searches at the Hyderabad house of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLC K Kavitha in connection with an alleged money laundering case linked to the Delhi liquor policy case.

The action comes after Kavitha, daughter of former Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, skipped at least two summonses issued by the probe agency.

The 45-year-old BRS leader did not appear before the Enforcement Directorate on January 16 for a fresh round of questioning in the case, citing a Supreme Court order which stated that the probe agency cannot summon Kavitha in this case.
