On behalf of the people of the United States of America, I extend my warmest congratulations on the 217th anniversary of the Republic of Ecuador’s independence. Our nations share a robust and historic bond, and today our relationship is stronger than ever.
Under the Trump Administration, we have deepened cooperation against transnational crime and narcoterrorism, advanced fair and reciprocal trade, and forged new agreements in civil nuclear energy and critical minerals. Ecuador’s leadership in the Shield of the Americas and the Americas Counter Cartel Coalition reflects our shared vision for a free and prosperous Western Hemisphere.
On this celebratory day, we honor the resolve of the Ecuadorian people and look forward to building on this momentum in the years ahead.
