Dominica National Day – United States Department of State

On behalf of the United States of America, I extend my congratulations to the government and people of Dominica as you celebrate your 47th Independence Day.

The United States values our partnership with Dominica in advancing our shared economic prosperity and energy security. We look forward to celebrating the upcoming commissioning of Dominica’s U.S.-business-built geothermal power plant, a transformative project the United States government has been pleased to support over the years. Together, we are working to strengthen regional security by reducing illicit trafficking and preventing illegal immigration.

As you celebrate this occasion, I look forward to enhancing cooperation to confront shared challenges and promote prosperity across our region.
