Deputy Secretary Landau’s Travel to Haiti and the Dominican Republic
Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau will travel to Haiti and the Dominican Republic May 29–30, 2026. In Haiti, Deputy Secretary Landau will meet with Prime Minister Alix Fils-Aimé to discuss bilateral cooperation and security priorities. The Deputy Secretary will also engage with personnel in the Haitian National Police and the UN-authorized Gang Suppression Force to reaffirm U.S. commitment to Haiti’s stability. In the Dominican Republic, Deputy Secretary Landau will meet with President Luis Abinader and his leadership team to discuss the bilateral relationship and regional priorities and engage private sector leaders on areas of mutual economic commercial interest.
Deputy Secretary Landau’s visit underscores the United States’ enduring partnerships in the Caribbean to advance shared interests.
