Deputy Secretary Landau’s Meeting with Foreign Minister Sommerfeld

Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau met today with Ecuadorean Foreign Minister Gabriela Sommerfeld on the margins of the Critical Minerals Ministerial in Washington, D.C. They reaffirmed their mutual commitment to ending illegal immigration, advancing economic prosperity, and strengthening economic cooperation, including on critical minerals. 

The Deputy Secretary reaffirmed that the United States remains committed to partnering with Ecuador to promote a safer, more secure, and more prosperous Western Hemisphere.
