Deputy Secretary Landau’s Meeting with Burundian President Ndayishimiye

Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau met with Burundian President Évariste Ndayishimiye today.  They discussed the historic signing of the Washington Accords for Peace and Prosperity and highlighted regional economic cooperation as a key driver for regional growth.  The leaders reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the bilateral economic relationship and their shared commitment to advancing peace and prosperity in the Great Lakes region.
