Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau spoke yesterday with Kenyan Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign Affairs Musalia Mudavadi to express his sincere condolences following Sunday’s tragic accident in Port-au-Prince that claimed the life of a Kenyan Multinational Security Support (MSS) officer and injured several others. The Deputy Secretary underscored the United States’ deep appreciation for Kenya’s leadership of the MSS mission and for stepping up as a global leader in a complex and challenging security environment.
