On January 19, 2025, at 2:15 PM, Officer Miculitzki, a seasoned member of the central district police force with a decade of experience, was captured on video stopping a blind Black man on the street.
As a result of the incident, Officer Miculitzki was placed on a six-week suspension, during which he continued to receive full pay and benefits. No additional disciplinary measures were imposed.
Upon completing his suspension, the officer resumed his duties without any record of misconduct being added to his file.
Meanwhile, the blind man never had his belongings returned and did not receive an apology for the encounter.
