Confronting Baxley, GA City Council about Police Misconduct (Watch Until the End)

I spoke at the Baxley, GA city council meeting to discuss the unlawful arrest of Lawrence Walters on November 5, 2022. The bodycam footage of that arrest is posted on my channel. Mr. Walters has had his life destroyed by the Baxley PD, and their entire department was too cowardly to show up for the council meeting. The arresting officer, Leon McKinney, has since become the Chief of Police in Odum, GA. Sgt. Terry Reynolds has retired with his pension intact.
I’ve seen videos of police abuse and misconduct from all over the country. I’ve made the calls and sent the emails that are critical to let these departments know that we are watching, but I’m limited in what I can do to help. But this time, it happened locally, and I wanted to do everything I could to let them know that they cannot behave this way unencumbered any longer.
I’m so very grateful and amazed at the response from the 1A community. Your emails, phone calls, and social media comments are invaluable. They get the government’s attention, and they feel the pressure.
