Additional Tehsildar Arrested for Taking Bribe in Sambalpur

Bhubanananda Sahu, Additional Tehsildar of Maneswar Tehsil in Sambalpur, has been caught red-handed by Vigilance while accepting a bribe of ₹6,000. The Vigilance team arrested him while he was taking the bribe to change the classification of land. The Additional Tehsildar Bhubanananda Sahu had demanded ₹10,000 from a landowner to change agricultural land to homestead land. The landowner reported this to the Vigilance Department, which planned to catch the Additional Tehsildar with the bribe money. As per the plan, the Vigilance team caught him today while the landowner was paying ₹6,000.
