U.S. Senator Mitt Romney (R-UT) today served as Ranking Member at a Senate Homeland Security Emerging Threats and Spending Oversight Subcommittee hearing on how to reduce duplication, overlap, and fragmentation in the federal government and save taxpayer dollars. During his questioning of Eugene L. Dodaro, Comptroller General of the United States and the head of the GAO, Romney reiterated his request for the Administration to provide an accounting of the waste and fraud associated with COVID relief efforts and advocated for the elimination and consolidation of duplicative federal programs.
