66% Of Businesses Paid Bribes To Govt. Officials, 56% Forced To Bribe | Survey Reveals Shocking Data
66% of businesses still paid bribes in the last year to keep operations running smoothly.
More than 18,000 responses were received by LocalCircles from over 9,000 unique businesses located across 159 districts between May 22 and November 30, 2024.
Out of 2,339 respondents to the question of paying bribes, a staggering 41% admitted to paying bribes several times in the last year, while 24% said they paid once or twice.
