Spiritual Drink Machines | Allan Kinney

Written by Allan Kinney and performed beautifully by Kim Lovell, this song was inspired by the corruption during the 2007/08 mortgage crisis and the corruption around political, economic and religious authority. We want better than this!

Birdsong New Music Foundation is a registered Canadian charity (77756 4873RR0001) founded to honour the spirit and memory of Canadian musician, John David Martin-Konopacki, (1987-2017). Due to a sense of hopelessness and feeling stigmatized due to his struggles with mental illness (bipolar and substance use disorder), David exited at the too early age of 30.

Founded by David’s mother, Margaret Konopacki, Birdsong is dedicated to helping others like David find a way out of the darkness of a life with mental illness. David had a deep love of songwriting and a passion for performing. Writing songs and performing were his safe places. Helping others with the same passion for songwriting and a love of performing, Birdsong hopes to tap into the healing power of music by giving people an outlet to create and a platform to feel heard. Applicants accepted into our program are given access to professional recording studios, producers and, in some cases, musician allies. All at no charge to the applicant.

NOTE: 100% of donation to this fund will be allocated to a Birdsong musicians music production fund.
