The Israeli military claims it has carried out air strikes against Palestinian militants in Gaza, after two rockets were fired into Israel.
Both rockets were intercepted by Israeli air defence systems, with the scale of the damage caused by the retaliation bombing in Gaza not yet clear.
Tensions in the region have been rising following an Israeli military raid in the occupied West Bank, which killed nine people, including civilians.
