General Line Teachers protest for completion of ATD-2022 – Jammu Kashmir Latest News | Tourism

JAMMU, Sept 25: Reiterating their demand for immediate completion of Phase-2 list of Annual Transfer Drive-2022, Jammu Kashmir General Line Teachers Forum held a strong protest, here today.

The protest was attended by a number of Teachers and Masters from various districts of Jammu division, who were carrying banners and raising slogans in support of their demand as well as against the School Education Department.
While addressing the gathering, President of the General Line Teachers Forum, Neeraj Sharma described ATD-2022 as a transparent policy and best in present time, which must be implemented it at an earliest. He expressed concern over unprecedented delay in completion of the ATD for no reasons.
“Introducing the concept of software based ATD mechanism was historic which completely punctured the old mechanism of favouritism in transfers but delay in its completion has disheartened the Teachers/ Masters who were waiting for such a corruption free initiative since years,” he said and appealed the Government to immediately complete the process.
Neeraj Sharma also raised a question mark on the rationalization process by the School Education Department and alleged that it was an attempt to derail the ATD.
Other Teachers and Masters also spoke in favour of ATD-2022, which they said, is corruption free, revolutionary step in history of transfer policy and hence its completion is the need of hour.
