The Soulsborne games, Sekiro and Elden Ring are highly religious games!
When taking a closer look into the narratives and art design of these games, it becomes evident that a strong reference is made to religious themes. Some of these include the Christian conceptions with regards to sin and the Shinto conception of kegare, and non-duality within other Asian religions. In this short I’ll give some examples.
